What possible use could this app have if you cant control the mixer until version 3 comes out? Frustrating and pointless, release an update!!!

The released 3 updates for Master Fader. Showed new products at NAMM. And released a buggy beta version of My Fader 3.0. Which includes absolutely no new features. And the still havent put forth a public app in 4 months. Why not just get something corrected before you work on product no one is asking for? If I were as terribly inept at my profession as those employed by Mackie and LOUD, I would be homeless. What a joke of a Company.

Updated Master Fader and board firmware this week. Now My Fader wont let me connect because its for an older version of firmware. When will new My Fader be released? It has now been 3 months since I first posted. This wait is beyond ridiculous. Ive sent two emails to Support and all theyll say is, "We dont have an exact date, but an update is coming soon." What a joke!!

After upgrade firmware, It can only work w iPad. NOT IPHONE anymore. I use DL1608 for my work w both iPad, iPhone. Right now only iPad work. This is too long for new update. Pls correct it unless I will sell this junk and find another.

Mackie, your DL1608 rocks. Yes, I wish the MyFader app was already updated to v.3 like MasterFader .. but I also wish I had a billion dollars & a pet unicorn. To those whose sole reason for giving this (or any Mackie) product a poor review is because you cant wait until theyre ready to make it available (i.e. it aint freaking DONE yet), may I suggest you build your own. Even suggesting a competitors product (childish) is a waste of the time you took to write it, cuz those of us who pay attention to quality and detail actually APPRECIATE Mackie taking the time to get it right. #rantover

As a engineer, I love the DL1608. But I would have to go with most of the complaints on this review though. To me, if your gonna to release updates for firmware, then release updates for Master Fader & My Fader together. Not separately. Its not good customer relations. For instance, in my band, Im not just the drummer. Im also the monitor engineer who sets our in-ear, monitors. But during a show I dont have time to make adjustments for everybody.

Yeah, I know the doc says dont update to version 3 if you use iPhones. Gotta remember, these are musicians using your products not IT professionals. "Hey what happened the guys cant control their monitors! Duh, dirpa, what! Version management what!"

The folks at Mackie rendered a great mix and awesome app useless by releasing an upgrade before being ready. One of the reasons I bought this mixer was the ability to use iPhones and iPod touch as a monitor control surface. Had to get 4 new iPads just to keep my setup working. Would have upgraded my dl16 mixer to the new 32 version by now, but wont do it. Mackie proved to be unreliable and I cant trust them to post timely updates. Will be stitching to a presonus mixer soon, which is a shame because I love how compact this mixer is..

The v3 update fiasco couldve easily been dealt with by providing a rollback option to the previous version. Mackie support told me that "it isnt possible to have two versions" - what they really mean is that they are unwilling to spend the (relatively small amount of) money to provide that option. Poor design and no regard for the customer!

POOF! All down the drain. Even when MyFader 3.0 DOES come out, I will have an incredibly difficult time recommending any Mackie product to anyone ever again. What. A. Joke.

Im not sure theyre ever to update it... As it stands its unusable. Maybe in the future they should release updates for both apps simultaneously.

In all seriousness, Im looking forward to messing around with the new app. Kind of strange that theres now 2 different versions of the phone app; not something I was expecting. But maybe thats a good thing for those just wanting to run levels and keep it simple with 2.0 Cheers, Mackie.

Mackie made a good product but really dropped the ball in this. Taking months to update critical software for a product like this isnt good enough. I cant postpone gigs because the band cant mix monitors. Why should I just shut up and be happy the product exists? The dl1608 is a serious product and a serious investment for many people. Not updating the app made the mixer useless for many customers. Who would buy a product that they knew would be useless for part of the time? Next time I wont complain; I just wont be buying a mackie mixer again.

I upgraded my old system to this. I was impressed with the ability to be mobile with the controls on my iPad. 6 months later I still like it. Its powerful and easy to use. Although sometimes I have to reset to factory because I have played around with the settings so much I cant get my core sound back. The only glitch I can say is annoying is the wifi sometimes will not pair with the base. I also wish they would add a echo effect that can be triggered on my iPad. Still the product is awesome.

Wish I checked before I updated to iOS 9. My fader is now only shows half the screen on my iPhone plus. Hope an update comes out.

I love this app! Its worked amazingly for as long as Ive used it, except for the last couple of days after I upgraded my phone to iOS 9.0. The screen where I select the audio network to join only shows up on half of the screen, and the "Done" button is hidden, so I cant actually leave that screen. Looking forward to a fix!

Come on Mackie give us a fix for iOS 9. Our main board is a iPad one and they are not replacing it so I cannot operate my phone with this app it is only half
